While the Freetown Road Church of Christ firmly agrees with the scriptures that God’s design for the local body is to be governed by a plurality of scripturally qualified men (1 Tim. 3; Titus 1) known as “Elders” or “Shepherds,” and not a single “pastor,” at this time, there is no eldership in place. Until such time as qualified men become available, financial and legal responsibilities are maintained by a select group of trustees. Larger matters are discussed and decided by the congregation while consulting the scriptures.
